Delete the design or interface
Discard designs/interfaces that are no longer needed
If the current design or interface is no longer needed, it can be deleted to save space and reduce clutter.
However, bear in mind that designs and interfaces form the basis of your Alloy data structure. Therefore, they can only be deleted if nothing else in your customer project depends on them.
Design dependencies
Before deleting a design, ensure that:
-
any existing items of the design are deleted
-
any Link attributes referencing the design are deleted from other designs/interfaces
Interface dependencies
Before deleting an interface, ensure that:
-
any populated interface attributes on existing items of designs that implement the interface are cleared
-
the interface is removed from all designs that implement it
-
any Link attributes referencing the interface are deleted from other designs/interfaces
It isn't possible to delete the system designs/interfaces provided with Alloy (whose Context isn't Customer).
Delete the design or interface
To delete the current design/interface, open the DoDI Menu in the top-right corner, choose Delete , and answer yes to the confirmation. A notification will appear to indicate success or failure.
If something is preventing the design/interface from being deleted, select the notification for a description of the reason. Use bulk actions to edit or delete existing items as needed.
Deletions can't be undone, so please think carefully before doing so!
