Remove the canvas view
Discard canvas views that are no longer needed
If the active canvas view is no longer needed, consider removing it to save space and reduce clutter. It can be archived for future reference or permanently deleted from the customer project.
You can remove any canvas views that you've created. You can also remove canvas views that are shared with you, providing that you're included in their Editors list. Admins can remove any canvas view they want!
Archive
To archive the canvas view, open the Canvas Menu and choose Archive view .
The canvas view will be moved to the Archive collection, which is excluded from day-to-day operations. This lets you preserve its data and relationships in case they need to be referenced in future, without it appearing alongside your other canvas views.
Archived items display a red strip in the top-left corner of their icon and don't appear in searches or pickers by default.
Unarchive
To bring an archived canvas view back, open the Canvas Menu and choose Unarchive view .
The canvas view will be moved from the Archive collection to another of your choice. Choose the Live collection to make the canvas view available in day-to-day operations again.
To browse archived items, use the Data Explorer or Lists apps (or the Search window) to fetch items in the Archive collection.
Delete
To permanently delete the canvas view:
-
Open the Canvas Menu and choose Archive view if available.
-
Open the Canvas Menu again, choose Delete view and answer Yes to the confirmation.
If you're unable to delete the canvas view, your user account may lack the required permissions.
Deletions can't be undone, so please think carefully before doing so!
