The applicable job types of a work item
Work items are discrete units of work that can be quantified and costed, e.g. a length of billable time, a quantity of materials, replacement of a component. To formalise the requirements of a job, you can add work items to it. This creates corresponding job work items containing values for that specific job, e.g. 5 hours of billable time at £30 per hour. To learn more, see Work units in Asset Classic.
A work item must apply to one or more job designs or job interfaces. When creating job work items for those jobs, this ensures that only suitable work items are available to choose from, e.g. "Contractor A" work items can only be added to "Contractor A" jobs.
When viewing a work item's details, the Applies to section lists the job designs/interfaces that the work item is applicable to.
Select a design/interface to open it in the Designer app. To return to the work item, use your browser's back button. Alternatively, use middle-click or Ctrl-click to open the design/interface in a new browser tab.
The Applies to section only appears for work items.
