Gallery section
Manage file attachments
When viewing an item's details, the Gallery section lists any linked file attachments.
You can upload files to Alloy and attach them to items for easy reference. Image files (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF) display their thumbnails and can be viewed directly in Alloy. This provides a great way to record an asset's condition, especially when reporting a defect or performing an inspection.
It's not just images though! Alloy accepts most types of file, e.g. PDF, CSV, ZIP. However, these must be downloaded and opened on your device instead. For security purposes, Alloy blocks the same file extensions as Microsoft Outlook.
To support attachments, the item's design must implement the Files Attachable interface.
