Reports

What are reports?

A report is a template that defines various data sources and one or more document layouts.

Each data source can represent the attribute data of an item, the resulting data of an AQS query, or a simple static value. Each document layout determines how that data will be presented across one or more document files (PDF, HTML, CSV).

When you run a report, data is collected from those sources and used to populate the document layout(s). A new report item is created with the generated document file(s) attached, which can then be downloaded.

Reports let you capture a snapshot of data and compile it into a human-readable, universal format that can be viewed and shared outside of Alloy. Use the system reports provided with Alloy or create your own!
