What are the standard defect details?
The Defects module includes a standard defects design that provides you with a set of standard details that you can use as part of a process to create and manage defects associated with assets.
The following two defect details are mandatory for all defects.
When you create a new defect Alloy automatically assigns a defect number. The defect number is mandatory and unique and does not actually appear as a field that you can edit. The defect number attribute can be inserted into the title field for each defect, when it is created.
The status field allows you to select from a list of statuses defined within the system.
The following defect details are optional, however, they may be configured as being mandatory prior to the installation of the system.
This allows you to record the date and time that a defect is reported.
This allows you to record the date and time that a defect is remedied
This allows you to enter a detailed description of the defect.
This allows you to select one or more existing defects that are related to the defect that you are creating.
This allows you to attach one or more document files related to the defect you are creating.
This allows you to select any existing jobs that have been raised and are associated with the defect you are creating.
This allows you to select any existing inspections that have been raised and are associated with the defect you are creating.
