Overview

The risk module includes three standard risk designs that allow you to create the parameters that are used to define the risk assessment model. The following tables illustrate two examples of risk assessment models.

The risk designs allow you to configure Alloy to represent the model that you require. You use the Risk consequences and the Risk likelihood design to create items that contain the values that represent the different levels of consequence and likelihood within your model. These are then used by the risk calculation workflow to generate the risk score.

The Risk severity design allows you to create items that define the levels of severity by determining the range of scores within each level.

The following illustrates the relationship between the designs, their associated items and an example risk assessment model.

When you have created all the items you require for each design type they become available within the selection dialogs when you are creating a defect.
