Overview

Once you have created a new custom card you need to add queries to the card to display the summary information that you require. System module cards include a set of queries, which cannot be changed, but you can add custom queries to system module cards.

Adding Queries to a card

To add a query to a new or existing card use the following procedure:

  1. You can either use the Settings module from the dashboard, select Cards or use the search panel directly.

    A list of Cards is displayed in the search panel.

  2. If the Card is shown in the first 20 cards, you can select the card from the list.

    Alternatively, the search panel allows you to search directly for the card that you require or you can scroll down through the list.

  3. When you have selected the required card the details are displayed in the right panel, the General tab is displayed by default.

  4. In the Item details panel, use the tab bar to select the Queries page.

  5. Select the more actions button from the action bar. By default for a new card there a no queries present.

  1. Select the Add query button, the Query page is displayed on the left hand side of the page.

  1. The Name field allows you to enter a name for the query that is displayed on the card.

  2. Select the AQS builder to create the query, a dialog is displayed that allows you to select a design or interface that forms the context of the query.

  1. Once you have selected the design or interface the AQS builder is displayed. This allows you to create a complex query to refine the output of the query, see [AQS builder].

  1. Select Done to return to the Query page.

  2. Select Create to complete the query, which is added to the Query page.

You can repeat the process to add as many queries as you require to the module card.

The queries that you create are displayed on the card. A card can display four queries, however, if you create more than 4 queries the card display cycles the queries to display the results of them all.

Changing the display order

You can change the order of the queries that are displayed in module cards. By default the queries are displayed in the order you create them.

You can change the order of the queries using the following procedure:

  1. You can either use the Settings module from the dashboard, select Cards or use the search panel directly.

  2. When you have selected the required card the details are displayed in the right panel, the General tab is displayed by default.

  3. In the Item details panel, use the tab bar to select the Queries page.

  4. Select the button on the action bar. You can now select and drag a query up and down the list of queries.

  1. The yellow dotted lines indicate where you can insert the query that you are moving within the list. When you have completed editing the list select Save, to update the card.
