What are asset groups?
Asset groups are special items that can be used to group together a set of items. This allows you to allocate tasks, for example, jobs or inspections to a group of items.
Asset groups can be used to manage groups of assets quickly, but still allow you to work with individual items if required.
In order to create asset group items you need to have an asset group design. The design needs to have the asset group interface associated with it. This interface includes the attributes necessary to allow you to link items when creating an asset group item.
A basic asset group design shown below, illustrates the minimum design configuration. It includes the Task Assignable interface, which is linked to the Asset Group interface and provides the minimum configuration for the design.
