Overview

In addition to editing an item’s general details, you can edit the geometry of an item that has geometry. You can adjust geometry coordinates by adding or removing points from a line or polygon of move the item location on the map.

Editing item geometry

  1. Select an item to view its details in the Item details panel.
  2. In the Item details panel, the General page is displayed by default. Go to the Geometry page. The Geometry editor indicates item’s geometry type (e.g. LineString or Point).
  3. Select the button on the action bar.

  1. In the map, select and drag a point to move it.

    You can also edit the point coordinates using the Geometry editor in the right panel.

  1. When you have finished editing the details select Save to update the system.
Note

Certain items (e.g. lookup options and work items) do not include geometry.

Removing points from a line or polygon

  1. Select an item to view its details in the Item details panel.
  2. In the Item details panel, the General page is displayed by default. Go to the Geometry page. The Geometry editor indicates item’s geometry type (e.g. LineString or Point).
  3. Select the button on the action bar.
  4. From the geometry tools in the lower-centre portion of your workspace, select the button.

  1. Each node within the item geometry now shows with a Remove icon.

  1. In the map, select a Remove icon. The point has now been removed.

  1. When you have finished editing the details select Save to update the system.

Adding points to a line or polygon

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of Removing points from a line or polygon above.
  2. In the map, select on a line between two points, and drag to the location of the new point. A new point is created.
