Overview

The Alloy mobile application provides you with settings to manage the operation of the application.

Accessing the application settings

To access the settings use the following procedure:

1. Open the Main menu, then select Settings. The Settings page opens.

This allows you to enable / disable the following settings:

• Auto download attachments - enable this setting to download attachments automatically to your device for tasks or assets that contain attachments. This is disabled by default.
• Enable fingerprint scanner - enable this setting if you want to use the fingerprint scanner to login to the application. This is disabled by default.
• Search Here online enabled - enable this option to allow the Search Here to work online. This is disabled by default.
• Colour by task status - enable this to display task colour by the status of the task. This is enabled by default.
• Sync on login - enable this to force the application to synchronise automatically when you login. This is disabled by default.
• Autosync interval - if you are working online then this allows you select an auto synchronising interval. By default this is set to Never.

• Optimised images - enable this to use optimised images to improve download times. By default this is disabled.
• Distances in miles - enable this to use miles for distance units instead of kilometres. By default this is enabled.
• High accuracy location - enable this to will use GPS satellites in addition to wifi, bluetooth and cell towers to improve your location accuracy.
