Adding a street light

You can create new street lights in just a few quick steps. Once a street light is created, you can add components such as a bracket, controller or lamp.

Alloy lets you add a variety of street lighting unit types, from street lamps, to bollards to belisha beacons. Alloy guides you through the process each time to make adding a street light simple.

Note

Before you add a street light, confirm the correct network is selected in the Networks panel.

  1. Go to the Streetlights module.
  2. In the left panel, select Create streetlight.
  3. Select a light type from the list.
  4. Select Place using map.

You can alternatively select Or enter position manually to enter coordinates and skip step #5.

  5. Select location on the map. The coordinates and referenced section populate in the left panel automatically.

You can change the referenced section by selecting the Change section icon, then selecting the desired section.

  6. In the left panel, enter the unit number and select Done.
  7. Select Add next unit and repeat steps 4-6 to add more lights as needed.
  8. Select Next when finished.
  9. Enter the date installed and tick boxes that apply to the new street light, then select Create. A notification pops up to confirm the new street light has been added.
