Creating routes

Define the order of travel between project tasks

Overview

Routing is part of the creating projects process as routes are associated with projects and any tasks within the project. In order to create a route you need to create a project and assign a series of tasks to the project, for example inspections or jobs.

Creating a route

  1. Select a project to view its details.

  2. Use the tab bar to switch to the Routes tab.

  3. Select More in the action bar and choose Create route.

  4. In the dashboard panel, enter a distinct Name that describes the route.

  5. Select Create to open the Routing Editor. The project's tasks are displayed in its map area:

    1. Add the tasks you want to include in the route.

    2. Add any other locations or custom waypoints along the route.

    3. Use the routing tools to optimise the route for distance or time.

  6. Select Save in the Routing Editor to finish creating the route.
