Teams

Allocate work to teams to get stuff done

In Alloy, a team is a set of users that work can be allocated to.

Tasks can be assigned to an entire team or an individual team member. Users must belong to at least one team in order to receive work and use the Alloy Mobile app.

If your organisation uses the Financial Accounts module, it's possible to implement customised account pricing to the work performed by a given team.

Note

Teams are different from Groups! Members of a team share allocated tasks, whereas users in a group receive permission to access specific resources (e.g. designs, map layers).

Manage your teams

It's easy to view the existing teams in your organisation and who belongs to them.

You're free to create as many teams as you want, with users able to belong to multiple teams at once. You can limit users to viewing and modifying data associated with their assigned work.

At any time, you can edit a team to add new members or remove existing ones.

Note

If you're unable to view or manage teams, your user account may lack the required permissions.

Assign tasks

You can assign work to a team when you:

If a team works regularly with a group of assets, you can set the Default Team attribute on each asset, so that new tasks are automatically assigned to that team (the asset design must implement the Default Teams interface).
