Create a design for a new defect type​

Overview​

When you have a new defect type that is going to be used within your project you need to create a defect design.

A basic defect design includes the following interfaces and standard attributes that appear on all defect items.

Creating a defect design​

To create a defect design use the following procedure:

  1. Go to the Designer module and select Create design.

  2. Select the Defect type from the list of design types.

  3. In the dashboard panel, complete the design form, see Creating designs.

  4. Select Create. Your new design is displayed in the right panel. Customise the design by adding attributes.

Depending on your permission settings, you may not be able to create designs. Contact your administrator for assistance.
