Creating network designs

Create a design for your new network​

Overview​

In order to create a network you need to create a network design that can then be applied to a network.

The basic network design includes the following set of interfaces that allow you to create networks.

Creating a network design​

To create a network design use the following procedure:

  1. Go to the Designer module and select Create design.

  2. Select the Network type from the list of design types.

  3. In the dashboard panel, complete the design form, see Creating designs.

  4. Select Create. Your new design is displayed in the right panel. A basic network design includes a set of default Link attributes, which cannot be edited. Customise the design by adding attributes. The design can then be used to create network items.

Depending on your permission settings, you may not be able to create designs. Contact your administrator for assistance.
