How to create a new interface​

An interface defines a set of attributes that collectively describe a category of items (such as a type of asset or task). The purpose of an interface is to be implemented by other designs/interfaces.

To create a new interface at any time:

  1. Open the Designer dashboard card and select Create interface.

  1. Fill in the following fields (* mandatory):

  • Name * - provide a distinct, meaningful name to identify the interface.

  • Icon - use the icon picker to choose an icon from Alloy's library.

  • Colour - use the colour picker to choose a colour from Alloy's library.

  1. Select Create to finish. The details of your new interface will display in the right panel.

Your account's permissions might restrict your access to Designer features. Contact your administrator for assistance.
