Date and time controls

How to use date and time controls​

Overview​

There are four types of control you can use to manage the display of date and time attributes:

  • Time - hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds
  • Date - day, month and year
  • Date and Time - combines Date and Time format
  • Seasonal - date and month only.

Adding a date or time type control​

To add a date or time control:

  1. Access the Stencil Editor for the design you want to change.

  2. Select the Add control option to display the Add controls dialog.

  3. Select the control you require from the list of available controls. The control is inserted and the configuration dialog is displayed.

  1. Select the Attribute field to display the Attribute dialog that allows you to select the required attribute from the current design. Attributes that are not available are greyed out, only date/time attributes can be selected.

  1. The Label field allows you to enter a custom label for the control that appears in the item details.

  2. The Date Time and Time controls include the Precision option that allows you to select the time precision you need to display.

  1. When you have completed adding controls select the Save stencil button to update the stencil.
