Cloning an import

Create an exact copy or make changes

Once an import has been successfully configured and validated, it can be cloned. This includes imports that have been committed. While it isn't possible to commit an import again, you can clone it instead, and then commit the clone.

When cloning an import, you can change any aspect of the new import's configuration, or simply create an exact duplicate.

Clone an import

To clone an existing import:

  1. Open the Gateway dashboard card, choose Imports, and then select the import item in the Search panel on the right. The import's Status must be Validated or Processed.

  2. Select More in the action bar and choose Clone import.

  1. In the left panel, the clone import process will appear. Select the 1 Details step to rename the clone. If necessary, you can also change the files to be imported (e.g. to use newer versions of previous files). However, keep in mind that other steps may then need to be reconfigured!

    NSG or NLPG imports

Select each step to view its current configuration values and edit them as needed. Remember, you can only configure the 2 Destination step of NSG imports, plus the 7 NSG to reference step of NLPG imports.

For full details, see Importing NSG and NLPG files.
