Logging in
How to log into Alloy and Single Sign-On (SSO)
To use Alloy, you need to log in with an account. All customers are provided with an Alloy account.
If the email address on your Alloy account is associated with a Google or Microsoft account, you can use their authentication process to prove your identity. After doing this once, you can choose to remain signed in for quicker access in future.
Contact your administrator to receive your Alloy account details for the first time. You will need to update your password on first login.
Logging in
To log into a new Alloy session:
-
Visit https://alloyapp.io in any modern web browser and choose your region.
-
Select the icon.
- Choose an account type and follow the corresponding section below.
Login with Google
If you have a Google account with the same email address as your Alloy account, you can select Log in with Google to display the Google authentication screen.
If your web browser is currently signed into any Google service, just select your account in the list. Otherwise, enter your Google account details to continue.
Login with Microsoft
If you have a Microsoft account with the same email address as your Alloy account, you can select Login with Microsoft to display the Microsoft authentication screen.
If your web browser is currently signed into any Microsoft service, you won't need to re-enter your account details.
- Enter your Microsoft username (if it doesn't appear automatically) and select Next.
- Enter your Microsoft password and select Sign in.
- If prompted to stay signed in, you can select Yes to skip the login screen next time (not recommended for shared devices).
- If prompted, grant Alloy permission to view your email address and sign you in.
If you're unable to log in with a workplace Microsoft account, your IT administrator may need to register Alloy with Microsoft Entra ID first. To learn more, see this Microsoft article.
Login with Alloy
After logging in, Alloy may ask you to choose a project before then loading your workspace.
Logging out
Closing your web browser won't log you out of Alloy!
Instead, you'll be logged out automatically after 5 hours of inactivity (whether your browser is open or closed). This means you'll typically stay logged in during the day and then be logged out overnight.
To purposefully log out:
- Select your initials in the bottom-right corner.
- Select Logout. Alloy will close your workspace and return you to the login page.
