Deleting items

Permanently remove unneeded items​

When items are no longer useful, you can delete them!

Your ability to delete an item depends on its context, its lock status, and whether your user account has read/write permissions for the item's design.

Note

If the item contains a Strong type of Link attribute, the items it links to will also be deleted, e.g. asset components.

Delete an item​

In order to help avoid accidents, all items must be archived before they can be deleted!

To delete a single item:

  1. Select the item to view its details in the right panel.

  2. Select Archive in the action bar.

  1. Once the action bar updates, select Delete and answer Yes to the confirmation.

Caution

Deleting items is irreversible, so consider archiving unused items instead for future reference.

Delete multiple items​

Bulk actions​

To archive multiple items of the same design, select them in the Data Explorer and perform a bulk action to Delete them.

Workflows​

For more complex scenarios, you can build workflows that perform conditional Delete actions on items from any design, which can be triggered automatically or on demand.
