Basemaps
Set the background of the map
A basemap provides the map imagery displayed in the map area and the Geometry Editor.
By creating and enabling layers, you can overlay items on the basemap according to the value of their Geometry attribute. You can switch the current basemap at any time, enabling you to view your organisation's item data in various geographic contexts.
Alloy includes some general-purpose basemaps to get you started. However, feel free to add as many others as you like!
If you're unable to view or manage basemaps, your user account may lack the required permissions.
System basemaps
Three system basemaps are included with Alloy:
Skyward
Beautiful blue-themed map with roads, buildings and geographical features outlined.
Nightscape
A darker version of Skyward that's optimised for night-time viewing. Perfect for all you Dark Mode fans out there! 😎
Satellite
Detailed satellite imagery with street names and labelled businesses.
