Flow control margins

Set the margins of a flow control​

When you're editing a flow document, you can set the margins of any control you add to its layout.

This lets you adjust the "padding" around its content. In other words, the space between the sides of the control and the content within. You can set the value of each margin independently.

The top and bottom margins affect the vertical spacing between controls.

The left and right margins affect the horizontal spacing between controls. This may restrict the width of the content but not the control itself.

Configure a control​

To configure the margins of a control, select it, and then select the Margin properties in the top toolbar.

The available sizes are:

  • None (0) - default for containers

  • ExtraSmall (XS) - default for everything else

  • Small (S)

  • Medium (M)

  • Large (L)

  • ExtraLarge (XL)
