Overview

The relation operator allows you to define a path in-order to navigate the data structure to a new set of items. For example, you can go from a job item to update the work items on the job, which can then be updated using and edit action.

Input

One or more items based on a specific design or design interface.

Output

The new items based on the defined path from the incoming items.

Configuring a relation node

To configure a relation node:

  1. Add an action and navigate to the Relation tab of the Create action page.
  2. Select the Workflow Action: Relation option. The option details are displayed in the item details page.

  3. Select the AQS Path button. This displays the Pathfinder, which allows you to create an AQS path between designs. For example, build a path from street lights to jobs, via a related jobs link. This does not allow you to select or include attributes, but allows the subsequent operator to act on the output, for example of related jobs.

  4. Select the link you require for the next action to act on. The selected link is shown in the item details page. You can repeat the previous step to expand the link.

  5. When you have completed creating the action select Save. This returns you to the workflow editor.
